Homs, SANA-Homs residents welcomed the second convoy of forcibly displaced families on Friday morning, returning from refugee camps in Jordan, to their cities and villages in Homs Governorate.
The convoys of displaced persons were organized by the Farah Endowment Foundation in cooperation with the governorate.
The foundation’s representative, Yahya al-Rifai, affirmed to a SANA reporter that this convoy is the second to leave the Azraq camp in Jordan and voluntarily return to Syria.
He added that the coordination procedures for the return came through a visit by the founder of Farah Endowment, Dr. Mohammad Rahif Hakimi, as arrangements were made for the voluntary return of the displaced as part of efforts to enhance stability for residents in their areas of origin.
The convoy included 235 families, comprising approximately 730 individuals, who were forcibly displaced by the former regime. They were transported by buses and trucks carrying their furniture and belongings.
Upon the convoy’s arrival in Homs, the foundation provided food baskets and clothing to all arriving displaced persons and their families.
